Our Story

Timeless objects. Lasting stories.

01
The beginning

How it began

Project Kalaā began with a simple search — finding pieces that felt personal while building our first home.

Instead of objects with history, we found mass-produced décor everywhere.

That search took us back to forgotten corners of India, where timeworn objects quietly carried stories waiting to be rediscovered.

A teak bench. A marble bowl. A dowry chest. Each piece shaped by time.

The people

The Old Digger(s)

We believe the people drawn to these objects share something in common.

They see beauty where others see age — in weathered wood, worn marble, and clay shaped by hand.

Collectors of memory. Seekers of character. Lovers of imperfection.

Timeworn. Touched. Travelled.

The mission

Our mission

Our objects are storytellers.

Every mark, every patina, every imperfection carries decades of life.

Nothing is replicated. Nothing is mass-produced. Each piece is entirely one of a kind.

Our mission is to bring life into spaces through timeless objects while honoring the craftsmanship behind them.
