Description
For generations this marble vessel sat in an Indian kitchen as a kharal, used daily to grind spices, herbs and medicines by hand. The worn surface, the deep earthy tone and the natural markings across the stone are the record of that life. Nothing was added to achieve this finish. Time did the work.
Place it on a bedside table or dresser as a valet tray for keys, a watch and loose change. Use it on a bathroom counter to hold rings and jewellery at the end of the day. Set it on a coffee table with a few objects inside and the table gains a layer of warmth that no new piece can give it.
