Description
In the old world, a vessel like this held the grain that fed a family through the season, filled once after harvest and rationed out for months at a time. Carved from a single piece of solid teak, its narrow mouth kept moisture and pests out, while its wide, rounded belly held as much as a household could store at once.
That same weighted, sculptural form now works beautifully as a plant vase or flower vessel, tall stems and trailing greenery rising naturally from its narrow neck. Set on the floor beside a sofa or centered on a console, it carries a presence no new piece can fake, deep ring banding from hand-shaping, a mouth darkened from years of use, a shape built for function that reads as pure form today. Carved from one solid block of teak, it's substantial and heavy to lift, built to stay exactly where you place it.
Each vase was carved by hand, so grain and tone vary slightly from one to the next. Select your preferred size above.
