Display. Store. Conceal. Three things, one hand-built form. Nothing about it is an afterthought.

This antique Indian teak almirah works across three zones: glass-paned upper panels that open to interior shelving, solid raised lower door panels that close around hidden storage, and two wide base drawers fitted with original scalloped brass cup-pulls. A complete piece of old domestic architecture, hand-built in India and aged into itself over decades.

The teak is deep and warm, tobacco-brown, richly grained, the colour of wood that has been somewhere and settled. A bold stepped cornice at the crown. Original brass handles and iron latch hardware on the doors.

For a bedroom that needs everything in its place. A study. A living room where the everyday and the beautiful are the same thing.

  • Material: Solid teak, glass panes, solid panels, two drawers, brass hardware
  • Dimensions: 64 × 43 × 16 in (H × W × D)
  • Condition: Antique, naturally aged, one of a kind
  • Origin: India

Use it as a living room cabinet where the glass upper section displays ceramics and the solid lower doors and drawers conceal storage. Style it in a bedroom as a wardrobe and dressing cabinet. Place it in a dining room for storing and displaying crockery. The three-zone form, display above, storage below, drawers at the base, makes this the most complete piece in the collection.

Care: Dry or barely damp cloth for wood. Open drawers periodically to allow air circulation.

Afficher tous les détails

Rooted in Craft. Chosen with Intention. Built to Outlast Everything Made Today.

Every object in our collection has been sourced directly from its origin, handled personally by us, and researched before a single word is written about it. We choose stone for the density of its patina, teak for the grain of its age, iron for the weight of its making, and clay for the honesty of the hand that shaped it. Nothing here was produced. Nothing was commissioned. Nothing was made to look old. Every piece exists exactly as time made it — and we chose it because we believed it deserved a home that understood that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the piece look exactly like it does in the photographs?

We photograph every object in natural light and from multiple angles to show you exactly what you are getting — including its imperfections, patina, and texture. What you see is what arrives at your door.

How do I know these products are genuinely vintage?

Every piece is personally sourced and handpicked by us. We research each object's origin, age, and history before it enters our collection. The story we tell is real — not marketing.

Am I receiving the exact object shown in the listing?

Yes, always. Every object in our collection is one-of-a-kind. The piece in the photograph is the exact piece that will be packed and shipped to you. There are no duplicates, no alternatives, no substitutions.

The imperfections look significant. Should I be concerned?

Not at all. The cracks, the worn surfaces, the uneven edges — these are not flaws. They are a century of life made visible. We describe every significant marking in the product listing so there are no surprises.
