Description
Every household in old India had its almirah, the cabinet that held what was worth keeping. This one has outlasted the household it belonged to and arrived here with decades of light and use worn into every surface.
The upper glass doors open to a single shelf, enough space for a stone bowl, a few folded linens, a collection of vessels. The lower solid doors conceal additional storage. Original brass hardware throughout.
A bedroom piece, a bathroom object, a kitchen display cabinet, or a quiet corner of an entryway. Wherever it goes, it will be the most considered thing in the room.
- Material: Solid teak, glass panes, brass hardware
- Dimensions: 56 × 32 × 16 in (H × W × D)
- Condition: Antique, naturally aged, one of a kind
- Origin: India
Use it as a bathroom display cabinet for towels and curated objects. Style it on a kitchen counter for storing spices and displaying ceramics. Place it in a bedroom as a bedside cabinet alternative. Use it in an entryway as a considered key and object storage piece.
Care: Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Preserve the natural patina.
