This marble tray came out of an Indian household where it served as a Kharal for generations, used to grind spices by hand. The surface it carries today is entirely the result of that daily use. The deep earthy tone, the natural pitting and the markings across the stone cannot be replicated in a workshop.
Lay your rings, earrings and bracelets in it at the end of the day and a dressing table gains the kind of considered detail that takes years to find. Use it on a bathroom vanity as a jewelry dish that holds its own against anything new. Place it on a console with a few small objects and the surface becomes a still life.
