Hand carved from solid marble, this bowl carries a deep grey-green tone and a surface marked with age, fine scratches and worn patches from years of handling before it found its way here. The sculpted handle, notched and scalloped, sets it apart from a plain tray, giving it an almost decorative purpose even in its earliest use.
